On December 9th, 2021at approximately 8:00p.m. the Houma Police Department responded to a report of sex trafficking in 2600 block of Larry Street.
Upon arrival officers learned that Jamil Washington 31 years old paid a subject $20 for him to bring a specific 10 year old female for him to have sex with. The person that was approached by Washington then informed the family of the child, what Washington was attempting to do and the police were immediately notified.
After further investigation Jamil Washington was located and taken into custody without incident where he was booked into the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex for one count of Trafficking of Children for Sexual Purposes.
