Louisiana State Police Investigating Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Department In-Custody Death

Raceland – On December 21, 2023, around 9:00 a.m., detectives with the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations – Houma Field Office were requested by the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Department (LPSO) to investigate an in-custody death.

The preliminary investigation revealed LPSO deputies responded to a disturbance at a residence on Danos Street. One subject was transported to a nearby hospital where they died. No further information is available at this time.
