The Berwick Lighthouse Festival announced on Tuesday that the annual fireworks display will go on as scheduled on Saturday, November 4 at 9:00 pm. The fireworks display was previously in doubt due to the statewide burn ban.

St. Mary Parish President David Hanagriff told KQKI News Tuesday morning that the parish is out of the state burn ban, however it is under a parish burn ban. He added that local fire departments still have the authority to allow burn activities within their jurisdictions. He advised residents to call their local fire departments to get approval before burning. Hanagriff said without approval, they could receive a ticket from local authorities.

The Lighthouse Festival will be held from Thursday, November 2 – Sunday, November 5 on the Berwick riverfront. You may view a full schedule of events below. KQKI 95.3 FM will air the exclusive soundtrack that will be synchronized to the fireworks.
