Laplace Woman Charged With Second Degree Battery

LABADIEVILLE– Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Crystal Joy Howard Stipe, 39, of 1727 Creole Street, Laplace, LA, on felony charges arising out of an incident at a Labadieville business on August 1, 2021.

On the aforementioned date, a complaint was filed concerning the incident in which the complainant alleged that an individual, identified as Crystal Joy Howard Stipe, had physically struck her in the face while the two were at the establishment.

The victim indicated that she was forced to seek medical attention due to the suspect’s actions.

Based upon the investigating deputy’s interview of the victim, warrants were applied for and granted for the arrest of Crystal Joy Howard Stipe.

The suspect was arrested by the St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office on October 26, 2021.  She was transported to Assumption Parish on Wednesday and booked into the detention center on charges of:

*Second Degree Battery

Crystal Joy Howard Stipe remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
