Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced a reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest in a case where a man stole thousands in cash from a tire shop in Bayou Blue.

Just before 10 a.m. on January 29, 2022, two men in a blue Mitsubishi Outlander arrived at Royal Express Tires on Bayou Blue Road. After arrival, the passenger in the vehicle entered a nearby convenience store while the driver, wearing a bright green hooded sweatshirt, entered the office of the tire shop. The driver was captured on camera stealing several thousand dollars in cash from a desk in the office. Both the driver and passenger then returned to the vehicle and left the area.

Detectives are asking for the public’s help to solve this case. Anyone who can identify the driver, or anyone with any knowledge of this incident, is asked to submit a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers Bayou Region by phone at 1-800-743-7433, online at CrimeStoppersBR.org, or through the Bayou Tips app on mobile devices. Tipsters could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 in cash if the information leads to an arrest.
