Labadieville Man Arrested On Drug Charges After Drive-By Shooting Incident

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Shaquille Thomas Starks, 27, of 405 Maple Street, Labadieville, LA, on a felony drug related warrant arising from a drive-by shooting incident in Labadieville on July 22, 2021.

On the aforementioned date, detectives responded to a shooting incident on Maple Street. As a result of that incident, Shaquille Thomas Starks was shot and subsequently appeared at a local hospital for treatment.

As part of the investigation of this incident, a search warrant was executed on a vehicle under the control of Shaquille Thomas Starks. During the search of that vehicle, quantities of marijuana and methamphetamine were seized, resulting in a warrant being issued for Starks’ arrest. The suspect fled the area.

Shaquille Thomas Starks was arrested by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office in Livingston, Texas on January 7, 2022. Starks was returned to Assumption Parish on Saturday and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Facility on charges of:

​*Possession of Methamphetamine
​*Possession of Marijuana

Shaquille Thomas Starks remains incarcerated with bond set at $35,000.
