On Wednesday evening at 6:16 pm, deputies with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the area of Sorrell Bridge and Highway 182 in reference to a call of gunshots in the area.
Upon arrival, the deputies began investigating the incident of gunfire striking a house and another structure in the area.
One juvenile is being detained at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.
