A juvenile was taken into custody on December 6, 2023, facing charges of illegal possession of a handgun and two counts of attempted second-degree murder. The Franklin Police Department continues to investigate the case.
Previously, on November 15, 2023, Franklin police received multiple reports of gunfire around Ninth Street. Officers who arrived at the scene found a crashed vehicle and a gunshot victim who was then rushed to a nearby hospital. Throughout the investigation, authorities have identified two persons of interest.
