Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division Deputies Arrest Yields Suspected Fentanyl

Iberia Parish – On April 23, 2022,IPSO Patrol Division deputies observed the vehicle to be in violation of darker than legal limit window tint and a traffic stop was initiated. Verbal consent was given by the driver of the vehicle to search the vehicle. As the investigation continued the search yielded the following items:

– Approximately 6.6 grams of suspected Fentanyl
– 4.1 grams of methamphetamine
– Drug paraphernalia
– $483.00 of U.S. Currency

The passenger of the vehicle, Hunter Bayard (male, 29 years old) was booked into the Iberia Parish Jail on the following charges:

Manufacture, Distribution Schedule II Narcotics
Transactions involving proceeds from Drug Offenses
Prohibited Acts – Possession of Drug
Paraphernalia

Bond was set at $55,800.00
