Houma Man Wanted For Two Counts of Attempted Murder

Sheriff Tim Soignet advised that Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives have issued an arrest warrant for a Houma man in reference to a shooting that occurred on January 20, 2021.
​Sheriff Soignet advised that at approximately 5:00pm on 1/20/2021, Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies, detectives and crime scene investigators responded to the area of Village East neighborhood in reference to a shooting that began on Thomas Dr and proceeded to Prospect Blvd, near the intersection with Hayes St. Shortly after, Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office was advised of a subject that arrived at a local hospital suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was later transferred to an out of the area hospital where he remains in critical condition.
​Through the investigation it was learned that the shooting began on Thomas Dr in Houma, LA when the occupant of a dark colored GMC SUV began shooting at the occupants of a white car. The subjects in the two vehicles drove away from each other until they passed again on Prospect Blvd where the occupant of the dark colored SUV continued shooting at the occupants of the white car. The subject that was injured in the shooting was driven to the hospital by the other occupant of the car.
​Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives continued the investigation into the late night hours when they obtained an arrest warrant for Tevin Jackson (28 years of age from Houma, LA) for two counts of attempted first degree murder, two counts of aggravated criminal damage to property and possession of firearm by convicted felon.
​Sheriff Soignet advised Tevin Jackson is considered armed and dangerous. If anyone sees Tevin Jackson contact the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office and do not attempt to contact him.
