Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet announced the arrest of a Houma man in connection with a Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division investigation, which culminated in the search of a home on Tuesday night. Brian Anthony Gibson, 31, of Houma, was arrested on multiple felony narcotics charges associated with the investigation.
On Tuesday, October 29th, the TPSO Narcotics Division completed a search warrant at a home in the 1200 block of Academy Street, after an ongoing investigation into illegal drug activity of Brain Gibson. Agents located Gibson during a traffic stop on Tunnel Blvd, prior to responding to the home. During the traffic stop investigation, Agents located illegal narcotics, drug paraphernalia, and cash connected to the investigation inside the vehicle, and Gibson was taken into custody.
Agents arrived at Gibson’s home, and safely secured the occupants inside before completing a search. During the search, Authorities located distribution amounts of Methamphetamines, Marijuana, several items of drug paraphernalia linked to distribution activities, cash, along with multiple firearms. Further investigation into Gibson’s criminal history revealed to Agents that he was currently a convicted felon.
Brian Anthony Gibson was later arrested on charges of Possession with the intent to distribute CDS I (Heroin), Possession with the intent to distribute a CDS II (Methamphetamines), Possession of CDS I (Marijuana), Possession of drug paraphernalia, Transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses, Illegal carrying of a weapon in the presence of CDS, Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and unrelated arrest warrants. Gibson remains held on a $126,000 bond.
