In Terrebonne Parish, Sheriff Tim Soignet revealed the arrest of Landon J. Thibodeaux, a 25-year-old man from Houma, Louisiana. Thibodeaux was apprehended in relation to a child cyber-crime investigation carried out in the parish. He is facing 183 counts of possession of pornography featuring juveniles below 13 years of age, as a result of the inquiry.
On December 12, 2023, Thibodeaux was taken into custody following an investigation by the Louisiana Bureau of Investigations, aided by Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office, Louisiana State Police CID Region 2, and Homeland Security Investigations. The arrest took place at an address in the 100 block of Leighton Loop.
A search warrant for Thibodeaux’s residence was executed during which he was apprehended without any problems. As the investigation proceeded, authorities found more evidence within the house leading to additional charges against him. Thibodeaux was later moved to Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex and is currently being held on a $100,000 bond set by local judges.
