Update: Highway 182 – Atchafalaya River Bridge Closed Due To Being Struck by Barge

DOTD crews will resume inspection on Sunday morning when the equipment arrives. After the inspection, they will know more. Expect the Bridge to remain closed Saturday night and into Sunday until the status of the possible damage can be assessed.

The Highway 182 Bridge over the Atchafalaya River is currently closed due to being struck by a barge. It is unknown how long the bridge will be closed, but we will release more information as soon as it is available.
