A 21-year old man from Gray, Louisiana was one of two men who died on Thursday as a result of rip currents in Miramar Beach, Florida. The other victim was a 55-year old man from Georgia. Both men were listed as tourists.
The Walton County Sheriff’s Office had warned residents and visitors to stay out of the water as multiple water rescues were underway due to heavy rip currents. Officials said on Thursday more than a dozen people had been pulled from the Gulf of Mexico.
