Franklin, LA – January 10, 2023 – V. B. Glencoe Charter School announced today that Mrs. Marissa Verrette has been chosen as the Secondary Teacher of the Year for the 2023-2024 academic year. The talented art teacher, who oversees middle and high school classes, student council, and junior class events, has been recognized for her dedication, creativity, and strong influence on the school community.
Mrs. Verrette’s love for art and teaching is evident in her lively classroom and the inspiring artwork filling the school’s corridors. Her focus on creating a family-like atmosphere in her classroom allows students to feel supported and confident in expressing their artistic side while making meaningful connections with others.
In addition to being an art instructor, Mrs. Verrette contributes significantly to fostering school spirit by organizing events like prom, homecoming, and other activities that promote unity among students and staff.
