Gibson Woman Charged With Theft Of An Automobile

LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Shaquara Laqutia Williams, 26, of 462 Deadwood Road, Gibson, LA, on felony charges arising from a complaint deputies investigated related to the theft of an automobile on June 22, 2021 near Labadieville, LA.

On the aforementioned date, deputies made contact with the complainant who advised that Shaquara Laqutia Williams had borrowed her car and was supposed to return the car at 2:00 a.m. on June 23, 2021. Williams continued to lead the vehicles owner to believe the vehicle would be returned but failed to do so resulting in deputies filing criminal charges against Williams.

On April 22, 2023, Shaquara Laqutia Williams was arrested in Terrebonne Parish and then transferred to Assumption Parish and booked into the detention facility on charges of:

  • Theft of a Motor Vehicle Valued at Between $1,000 and $5,00.

Shaquara Laqutia Williams remains incarcerated with bond set at $15,000.
