The Franklin Police Department responded to 36 calls for service over the past weekend and made the following arrests:
On June 27, 2025, at approximately 3:44 PM, the Franklin Police Department responded to an armed robbery at a local bank on Main Street.
The following arrest stems from that incident.
Malik King, 23, of Maple St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 24, 2025, at 6:20 PM, on a warrant dated August 11, 2025, for principal to armed robbery and criminal conspiracy to commit armed robbery. King was booked, processed, and held on a $20,000.00 bond.
This investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are expected.
