Franklin Crews Working on Ruptured Water Line

Franklin water department personnel are working on a ruptured main line on the corner of Third Street and Trainor Street that was identified Thursday evening. An emergency Dottie One Call was initiated and crews are awaiting for Dottie to mark the area before digging can begin. They have begun to break into the roadway awaiting Dottie.

Mayor Eugene Foulcard said, “As we continue to address our 100 year old water distribution lines I continue to ask for patience and prayers for our City workers that are working hard as humanly possible to address the needs of our community. I addressed our ongoing water issues and community concerns at this past Tuesday’s City Council meeting. Each and everyday my administration works to better our city through identifying funding sources for infrastructure upgrades as well as quality of life projects. I have been consistent in my messaging to our community since taking office through social media and our local media partners in regards to our aging water distribution lines. Although no longer able to utilize the Emergency One Call system for water leaks per the systems administrator we will make every effort to utilize social media when pertinent information is available. Again, please keep our city workers in your prayers as they have worked non-stop the past week and a half addressing ruptures across the City.”
