Four Suspects Involved in Bayou L’Ourse Armed Robbery

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon announced the arrest of James Vincent Howell, II, 19, residing at 1900 Saturn Road, Bayou Vista, LA, and the filing of a formal complaint against a 17-year-old male from Bayou L’Ourse, LA. Both were involved in the armed robbery of a person in the Bayou L’Ourse area on December 28, 2023.

Furthermore, arrest warrants have been issued for Alvin Fitch Jr., 18, hailing from 411 Kidd Street, Morgan City, LA, and Jedarrius J. Brown, 19, of Lafayette, LA, both connected to the same case.

On December 28th last year, deputies of the Sheriff’s department arrived at the scene of an individual’s armed robbery reported near Murial Street / LA 398 area. Deputies and detectives concluded that two suspects were armed with guns while the other two stole various items from the victim.

The suspects have been identified as the 17-year-old juvenile, Alvin Fitch Jr., James V. Howell and Jedarrius J. Brown. A verified complaint was filed against the juvenile upon finishing the investigation – he faces charges of armed robbery with a firearm and ordered to be held in custody.

James V. Howell was apprehended on January 18th by St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office and later handed over to Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office on January 19th where he faced charges which included:

– Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
– Contributing to the Delinquency of Juveniles (Felony)
– Armed Robbery

Alvin Fitch Jr. was detained in Lafayette on local charges there. After his release from Lafayette Parish, he will be taken into custody by Assumption Parish on charges of:

– Armed Robbery with a Firearm
– Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
– Contributing to the Delinquency of Juveniles

Detectives are actively seeking Jedarrius J. Brown, who has warrants out for charges including:

– Armed Robbery with a Firearm
– Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile

Please report any information about Jedarrius J. Brown’s location to the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office at (985) 369-2912. He is considered armed and dangerous. Brown has numerous tattoos, with a notable number “7” tattooed on his front throat area.
