Louisiana State Fire Marshal deputies are investigating a house fire in the Larose area, where involving one death.
Around 4:30 a.m. on Monday morning, the Lafourche Parish Fire District #3 responded to the 400 block of West 23rd Street for a report of a house fire. When firefighters arrived, three people were outside of the home, include two children, but they reported a woman had gone back inside. Sadly, the body of that woman was later found in the remains of the home.
This investigation is active and ongoing and more information will be released as it becomes available.
