Early Voting Concludes in St. Mary Parish as Election Day Approaches

Early voting in St. Mary Parish has wrapped up, with a total of 2,929 early ballots cast. As the community looks ahead to the upcoming election on November 18, 2023, it’s essential for voters to be aware of key dates and information.

Those wanting an absentee ballot must submit their requests by 4:30 p.m. on November 14, either online via the Voter Portal or through written correspondence with the Registrar of Voters Office. Note that this deadline doesn’t apply to military and overseas voters.

Voted absentee ballots need to reach the registrar’s office by 4:30 p.m. on November 17 for domestic voters. On Election Day itself, polling stations will open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m., with anyone in line at closing time permitted to cast their vote.

To find their designated polling location and access a sample ballot, voters are encouraged to use the GeauxVote Mobile app or visit www.GeauxVote.com and sign in to the Voter Portal. Electronic notifications are also available through the GeauxVote Mobile app.

Lastly, when heading out to vote, individuals should have a valid form of ID ready (e.g., Louisiana driver’s license, Louisiana Special ID card, a widely-accepted photo ID card featuring their name and signature like a passport, or a digital license through LA Wallet).
