Disturbance at Chabert Medical Center Leads to Arrest of Houma Man

Houma, LA – In Terrebonne Parish, Sheriff Tim Soignet reported the arrest of Ladarius Lamar Jones, a 21-year-old man from Houma, following a disturbance at Chabert Medical Center. The incident led to multiple criminal charges against Jones.

On the morning of July 13th, the Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division was called to the hospital due to reports of a disturbance. Upon arrival, deputies discovered that Jones had become aggressive with hospital staff while visiting a patient and refused to leave the premises. Security personnel reported that Jones assaulted two staff members and threatened to take their weapons and use them against others in the hospital.

Officers quickly apprehended Jones, who now faces charges including two counts of Battery of a Healthcare Worker, Terrorizing, and Entering and Remaining After Being Forbidden. He is currently held at the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex on a $10,000 bond.
