Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced detectives are investigating an overnight shooting that left one man injured. The shooting occurred in Abby Subdivision in Thibodaux.
Shortly before 10:30 p.m. on July 10, 2022, the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office received several calls regarding gunshots heard in the area of Abby Subdivision. When deputies arrived, they found a vehicle parked at a residence in the 500 block of Paula Drive which appeared to have been damaged from gunfire. A male victim in his 20s had been taken to a local hospital for treatment of a bullet wound to the leg that was not life-threatening.
The investigation into this shooting incident is continuing.
