The city of Patterson will hold its monthly council meeting on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at 6:00 PM at the City Hall’s Council Meeting Room located at 1314 Main Street, Patterson. Among the agenda items is a public hearing to discuss Ordinance #2023-06 that proposes amendments, deletions, and reorganizations to certain definitions within the Zoning Ordinance of the Code of Ordinances.
The meeting will begin with a call to order by the Mayor, followed by an invocation and pledge of allegiance. The council members will then have a roll call and approve the minutes from the June 6th meeting. The monthly financial report will be submitted for review.
Public comments will be welcomed after which guests representing local organizations such as Mt. Pisgah Lodge and LockD’N Travel Ball will seek permission for can shakes. In unfinished business, they will discuss adoption of Ordinance #2023-6 that amends Article II in the Zoning Ordinance.
New business items include discussions about the City of Patterson Housing Authority’s role, possibly hiring Alan Taylor as a Financial Consultant and a Grant Writer for future projects. Other topics are Holden Murray’s thoughts on Economic Development Department and resolutions of respect related Wally Griffin, John “Zeke” Weinbach, Lucille Johnson, and Cathy Eaves.
Wrapping up the agenda are announcements, an engineer’s report on ongoing projects, legal matters concerning city policies and decisions, and adjournment.
