Bodies Found Under New Iberia Home Identified

On Monday, June 6, 2022, at approximately 9:30 p.m., deputies with the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a complaint of 2 men unresponsive under an elevated home located in the 3600 block of Effie Lane.

Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the homeowner who had hired the two men to do plumbing work on the residence. Attempts to administer CPR were made by IPSO deputies and Acadiana medics to no avail. Through investigation of the crime scene, narcotics and drug paraphernalia were discovered. The Iberia Parish Coroner’s Office arrived on scene, and it was determined cause of death appeared to be a suspected overdose pending autopsy and toxicology report.

The 2 men were identified as Brandon Guillory (42 years old) and Christopher Perron (43 years old) both from Coteau.
