A Berwick man has been arrested following a Friday morning crash on Front Street in Morgan City. According to an eyewitness, 57-year old, Michael Coussan of Berwick, was driving at southbound at a high rate of speed on Front Street in Morgan City. Coussan’s struck a pickup truck that was parked in front of a business. The impact of the crash caused the truck to be pushed a block away from the crash. Several bottles of alcohol and an ice chest were reportedly removed from Coussan’s vehicle.
He was arrested Friday morning at 11:15 am and charged with 2nd offense driving while intoxicated, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle, ignition interlock device required and driving under suspension.
