Kelli Barrilleaux W/F 50 of Berwick was arrested on September 1,2023 at 05:25 AM for
- WARRANT- UNAUTHORIZED USED OF AN ACCESS CARD
On August 25,2023 the Berwick Police Department received a complaint of fraudulent bank charges made to an account. Officers met with the complainant who advised that over the last several months Barrilleaux had made several transactions from his account without his permission. Evidence was gathered linking Barrilleaux to these transactions and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On September 1, 2023, Barrilleaux turned herself into the Berwick Police Department.
Darrelynn Green B/F 34 of Jeanerette was arrested on September 2, 2023 at 02:35 AM for
- POSSESSION OF SCHEDULE I CDS HEROIN
- GENERAL SPEED LAW
Timothy Humphrey B/M 35 of Amelia was arrested on September 2, 2023 at 02:35 AM for
- POSSESSION OF SCHEDULE I CDS HEROIN
On September 2,2023 at approximately 01:40 AM a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle after it was observed going well below the posted speed limit on US Hwy. 90. Officers made contact with Green and Humphrey. Through the course of the stop a K-9 was deployed on the vehicle and alerted to the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle. A search was conducted on the vehicle at which time Heroin was located inside. Both Green and Humphrey were placed under arrest and transported to the Berwick Police Department where they were booked on the above charges.
Jeremie Watson B/M 42 of Morgan City was arrested on September 4,2023 at 12:33 AM for
- DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED 1ST OFFENSE
- RECKLESS OPERATION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
- OPEN ALCOHOLIC CONTAINER
- POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA (UNDER 14 GRAMS)
On September 4, 2023 at approximately 12:20 AM while on US Hwy. 90, a vehicle was observed traveling in a reckless manner and attempting to merge lanes, forcing other vehicles off the roadway. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and officers made contact with Watson. Watson showed signs of impairment and Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were conducted which he performed poorly. Through the course of the stop, open alcoholic beverages were located inside his vehicle along with Marijuana. Watson was placed under arrest and transported to the Berwick Police Department where he provided a valid breath sample of 0.229G% BAC. Watson was then booked on the above charges.
Osias Martinez-Cardona H/M 18 of Berwick was arrested on September 4, 2023 at 10:05 PM for
- POSSESSION OF SCHEDULE I CDS THC
- REDLIGHT VIOLATION
- NO DRIVER’S LICENSE
On September 4, 2023 at approximately 9:50 PM a vehicle was observed disregarding a traffic light on US Hwy. 90. A traffic stop was conducted and officers made contact with Martinez-Cardona. Through the course of the stop, Martinez-Cardona admitted to having THC products inside the vehicle. Officers recovered the items and Martinez-Cardona was placed under arrest and released on a summons to appear in court o the above charges.
