Berwick Arrest Report 1-5-2021

Berwick Police Chief David Leonard reports the following arrests from the reporting period of December 28, 2020, through January 5, 2021:

Farrel C. Goff, 33 y/o, of Midland Dr. Thibodaux, was arrested on December 28, 2020, at 11:44AM, on the following charges:

  • Berwick PD Warrant: Battery of a Dating Partner (Child Endangerment Law)
  • Berwick PD Warrant: Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle
  • Berwick PD Warrant: Simple Criminal Damage to Property

On December 28, 2020, at 11:44AM, officers traveled to the Livingston Parish Detention Center to take Goff into custody on warrants that he had through the Berwick Police Department. These warrants stem from an investigation that took place on June 22, 2020, in which Goff committed a battery upon a dating partner. He then damaged and took the victim’s vehicle without authorization. He was unable to be located, therefore, warrants were issued for his arrest. Goff was booked into the Berwick Jail where he remains in lieu of a $50,000.00 bond.

16y/o Juvenile Male, of Patterson, was arrested on December 28, 2020, at 12:53PM, on the following charges:

  • Possession of Schedule I CDS MDMA
  • Windshield, View Inward and Outward Must Not Be Obstructed
  • No Driver’s License

On December 28, 2020, at 12:02PM, officers observed a vehicle on Tournament Blvd. commit a traffic violation. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as a 16y/o juvenile, who did not have a driver’s license. Throughout the course of the stop, officers located MDMA on the juvenile’s person. He was arrested and booked at the Berwick Police Department then released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

Christopher L. Lacaze, 41y/o, of Knight St. Berwick, was arrested on December 28, 2020, at 4:33PM, on the following charge:

  • Violation of Protective Orders

On December 28, 2020, at 4:33PM, officers were on patrol when they observed Lacaze enter the backyard of a residence on Knight St. Officers knew that Lacaze had a protective order that prohibited him from being at this residence. He was detained and admitted that he was going to that residence despite having the order against him. Lacaze was placed under arrest and booked into the Berwick Jail. He was released after posting a $2,500.00 bond.

Brent J. Leblanc, 28y/o, of Cactus Dr. Bourg, LA, was arrested on December 30, 2020, at 4:48PM, on the following charge:

  • Berwick PD Warrant: Felony Theft

On December 30, 2020, at 4:48PM, officers traveled to the Terrebonne Parish Detention Center to take Leblanc into custody on a warrant that he held through the Berwick Police Department. The warrant stems from an investigation into the theft of a fork lift that occurred on October 6, 2020. Through investigation, Leblanc was identified as the suspect and a warrant was prepared for his arrest. He was booked into the Berwick Jail where he remains in lieu of a $5,000.00 bond.

Pamela H. Conerly, 35y/o, of Jeddo St. Berwick, was arrested on December 31, 2020, at 1:25PM, on the following charge:

  • Disturbing the Peace

On December 30, 2020, at 1:02PM, officers responded to Jeddo St. in reference to a disturbance in progress. Upon arrival, officers located Conerly in an impaired state and learned that she created a disturbance at the residence. While the officer was on scene, Conerly continued to cause a disturbance. She was placed under arrest and booked into the Berwick Jail where she remains in lieu of a $201.00 bond.

Tiffany N. Fontenot, 39y/o, of Ehrlich St. Berwick, was arrested on December 31, 2020, at 4:03PM, on the following charges:

  • Careless Operation
  • Driving Under Suspension

On December 31, 2020, at 3:40PM, officers responded to LA Hwy 182 at Old Spanish Trail regarding a two vehicle crash. Through investigation, officers determined that Fontenot was operating her vehicle in a careless manner which led through the crash. A computer check revealed that her driver’s license was suspended. She was placed under arrest and booked into the Berwick Jail where he later posted a bond of $302.00 and was released.

Debra C. Rock, 59y/o, of Guzzetta Dr., was arrested on January 2, 2021, at 9:29AM, on the following charges:

  • Passing in a No Passing Zone
  • Driver Under Suspension

On January 2, 2021, at 9:19AM, officers observed a vehicle passing another vehicle in a marked no passing zone on LA Hwy 182 near Patti Dr. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Rock. A computer check revealed that her driver’s license was suspended. She was placed under arrest and booked into the Berwick Jail where she was later released on a $302.00 surety bond.

Shannon P. Ashmore, 49y/o, of Hilda St. Morgan City, was arrested on January 2, 2021, at 7:05PM, on the following charge:

  • Berwick PD Warrant: Violation of Protective Orders

On January 2, 2021, at 7:05PM, Berwick officers, along with the assistance of the Morgan City Police Department, made contact with Ashmore at a residence on Clothilde St. in Morgan City. Ashmore held an active warrant through the Berwick Police Department for violating a protective order on 12/30/2020. Ashmore was unable to be locate on that day, therefore, a warrant was prepared for her arrest. She was placed under arrest and booked into the Berwick Jail where she remains in lieu of a $2,500.00 bond.

Nikolai A. Stephanenko, 42y/o, of Oakwood Forest Dr. Houston, TX, was arrested on January 2, 2021, at 8:19PM, on the following charges:

  • Special Restrictions on Lamps
  • Switched License Plate

On January 2, 2021, at 7:45PM, officers observed a vehicle traveling on US Hwy 90 shining a bright spot light on other vehicles as they traveled on the highway. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and identified the driver as Stephaneko. Through investigation, officers learned that the license plate on the vehicle belonged to another vehicle. In conclusion, Stephaneko was placed under arrest and booked into the Berwick Jail where he remains in lieu of a $302.00 bond.

Steven W. Howard Jr., 29y/o, of Hwy 311 Schriever, was arrested on January 3, 2021, at 10:18AM, on the following charges:

  • Following too Close
  • Driving Under Suspension

On January 3, 2021, at 10:00AM, officers observed a vehicle traveling on Hwy 90 following another vehicle too closely. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and the driver was identified as Howard. A computer check revealed that his driver’s license was suspended. He was placed under arrest and booked into the Berwick Jail where he posted a bond of $302.00 and was released.
