BELLE ROSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Russell Lee Millien, 51, of 7104 Lula – Tigerville, Belle Rose, LA, on felony charges arising from an incident on or about March 09, 2023 at the aforementioned address.
Detectives were dispatched to an area health care facility in reference to a child abuse complaint. Upon arrival, detectives interviewed the child’s mother at which time they were advised that the six-year-old male victim was in the care of his father when he sustained injuries consistent with child abuse.
The child sustained multiple bruises to his body and a tooth was knocked out allegedly because the child could not recite the alphabet and numbers correctly.
At the conclusion of the investigation, warrants were obtained for the arrest of Russell Lee Millien.
On Sunday, deputies arrested Russell Lee Millien and booked him into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Cruelty to Juveniles with Force or Violence
Russell Lee Millien was incarcerated and released on a $50,000 bond.
