Bayou Vista Man Arrested On Five Counts Of Simple Burglary

BAYOU L’OURSE– Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Kyle Bailay Bellard, 22, of 1210 Columbus Street, Morgan City, LA, on multiple simple burglary counts arising from a series of incidents at a Bayou L’Ourse welding service company.

On July 1, 2021, the Sheriff’s Office responded to the business location and were advised by the complainant that approximately $25,000 worth of welding equipment from the work site had been stolen.

On July 2, 2021, Assumption Parish Detectives received information identifying Kyle Bailay Bellard as a likely suspect.

St. Mary Parish authorities requested and were granted a search warrant of Bellard’s property in Morgan City. Upon executing the search warrant, authorities located the stolen equipment.

At some point, detectives interviewed Bellard and that process produced sufficient information to obtain warrants for Bellard.

The suspect went to the location on at least 5 occasions thus resulting in 5 burglary charges.

Kyle Bailay Bellard was arrested in St. Mary Parish on or about July 12, 2021. Bellard was transported to Assumption Parish on Wednesday, October 27. 2021.

Bellard was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Simple Burglary – 5 Counts

Kyle Bailay Bellard remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
