Two victims who were injured in a Tuesday evening shooting in Baldwin are now listed in stable condition. Both victims were in critical condition following the shooting and were airlifted to out of area hospitals. Baldwin Police Chief Anthony Gibson told KQKI News on Wednesday morning that one victim is also currently recovering from surgery.
The shooting occurred just after 7:00 pm in the area of Baptist and Coulee Streets.
While there are currently no suspects in custody, Gibson said one weapon has since been recovered and at least one arrest is expected to be made soon. He said a small caliber weapon was used in the shooting, with the possibily of two weapons being involved. Gibson was not able to speculate on a potential motive.
