Sheriff Craig Webre of Lafourche Parish announced that a joint effort by multiple agencies led to the dismantling of a car theft ring in Lafourche and Terrebonne Parishes. Four individuals, including Allen Punch, 48, Bobby Foreman Jr., 53, Sarah Holliday, 41, and a teenager, were arrested during the investigation.
The authorities worked together to recover three stolen vehicles between August 19 and August 22, 2023. All the vehicles had been left abandoned and disabled on roads or highways. Two of them were found at a recycling business in Houma where Punch emerged as the main suspect. He was later arrested with methamphetamine when he drove up with the third stolen vehicle.
Continuing their probe, investigators found a fourth stolen car abandoned at St. Charles Parish’s Hale Boggs Memorial Bridge. It was traced back to Holliday’s home in Bayou Blue where they also discovered a teenage boy involved in the thefts.
It was revealed that Punch used a truck and trailer registered to Foreman to move the stolen vehicles for scrapping. During their search of Foreman’s workshop, police found evidence of a fifth unreported stolen vehicle. Foreman faced charges for illegal possession of stolen items and forgery.
Ultimately, four stolen vehicles were recovered, while the fifth was scrapped before the investigation began. Punch and Holliday were arrested and booked into the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex, facing multiple charges related to motor vehicle thefts and other crimes. The juvenile involved was charged with two counts of motor vehicle theft in Lafourche Parish.
