IBERIA PARISH SHERIFF’S OFFICE ASSIST US MARSHALLS WITH ARREST
On December 1st, 2022, Specialists from the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office Special Investigation Unit were contacted by Agents from the US Marshals Office Fugitive Task Force to assist in the apprehension of Gregory Jones Jr., (male, 28 years old) a fugitive wanted by the Lafayette Police Department for Attempted First Degree Murder and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
IPSO SIU Specialists, along with IPSO Patrol Deputies, assisted the US Marshals Office in locating Gregory Jones Jr. at the residence of 4002 Robicheaux Rd where he was taken into custody without issue. Gregory Jones Jr. has since been booked into the Iberia Parish Jail.
