The Atchafalaya River/Highway 182 bridge remains closed in both directions after a truck struck and caused damage to a cross beam located on the Berwick side on Tuesday afternoon. Officials said the Louisiana DOTD was en route to inspect the damage. Motorists are being asked to use U.S. Highway 90 as an alternate route.
