According to the Morgan City Police Department, Officers were dispatched at around 5 am to the 600 block of Egle Street in reference to an armed robbery. Upon arrival, authorities located a male victim with multiple gunshot wounds. According to officers, the subject did sustain critical injuries and was transported to a hospital out of the local area.
No arrest has been made and this investigation is in the early stages. Further details are not available at this time.
