Three people have been arrested and warrants remain active for 12 others following multiple altercations at the West St. Mary–Jeanerette football game on Friday, September 11.
Authorities said several fights broke out simultaneously during the game. The stadium was evacuated as a precaution to protect spectators while law enforcement brought the situation under control.
Following an investigation, arrest warrants were obtained for several individuals allegedly involved.

The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking those with active warrants to turn themselves in immediately at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
Sheriff Gary Driskell and Juvenile Diversion Coordinator Lt. Oscar West thanked Jeanerette Marshal Fernest “Pac-Man” Martin and his deputies for their assistance in identifying those allegedly involved.
Officials also recognized Dr. Rachel Sanders and the St. Mary Parish School Board for their cooperation throughout the investigation.
