BAYOU L’OURSE — Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of an 18-year-old Bayou L’Ourse man following a domestic disturbance Sunday evening.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence in Bayou L’Ourse in reference to a disturbance involving a dating couple. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the victim, who stated her partner, identified as Noah Paul Stansbury, became enraged during an argument, physically struck her, and threatened her with a knife.
Deputies located Stansbury inside a bedroom of the residence shared by the victim and suspect. Investigators observed injuries to the victim’s face and neck that were consistent with her statements to law enforcement.
Stansbury was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on the following charges:
Aggravated Assault Upon a Dating Partner
Battery of a Dating Partner
Stansbury remains incarcerated with bond set at $42,500.
