Pierre Part – The Pierre Part Fire Department responded this afternoon to a trailer fire sparked by an unattended pot left on the stove.
Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the residence. Crews quickly removed the hazard, secured power to the trailer, and ventilated the structure to clear the smoke.
Officials say the trailer sustained only minor damage thanks to the swift response. The incident brought out three engines, one rescue unit, and a total of 21 personnel.
The department extends its thanks to all responders for their efficient and effective work.
