Thibodaux Resident Charged in “Fresh Catch” Fentanyl Distribution Operation

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon announced the arrest of Alexis L. Gros, 30, of Thibodaux, on felony drug distribution charges stemming from the ongoing narcotics initiative, Operation “Fresh Catch.”

According to Sheriff Falcon, narcotics agents developed credible intelligence indicating that Gros was trafficking illegal narcotics within Assumption Parish. Based on the investigation, agents obtained arrest warrants for Gros on felony distribution charges.

Gros was initially taken into custody in St. Mary Parish on unrelated local charges. On November 12, 2025, she was released to the custody of the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office and transported to the Assumption Parish Detention Center.

She was booked on the following charge:

Distribution of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance – Fentanyl

Gros remains incarcerated awaiting a bond hearing. Sheriff Falcon emphasized that Operation “Fresh Catch” continues and further arrests are possible as agents pursue ongoing leads.
