The City of Morgan City is inviting the community to celebrate Independence Day by holding its annual July 4th Lake Jam on Thursday, July 4th from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm, near the judges stand at Lake End Parkway. The patriotic celebration will include a colorful boat parade, food trucks, live music, a Kid Zone with water inflatables, the fireworks show finale and more.
The 3rd Annual 4th of July Boat Parade will be held from 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm in front of Lake End Parkway. Judging will take place at 4:00 pm and prizes for the top 3 best decorated boats will be awarded. You may download a registration form here.
Several local food trucks and vendors will be on hand with a variety of food, soft drinks, beer, margaritas, soft drinks and water. Live music begins with Cliff & Sidepiece Band from 3:00 pm – 5:30 pm, followed by Shorts in December from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm.
Spectators can arrive by land or water, and may tune-in to 87.7 FM to listen to the live music in their boat, RV or vehicle, anywhere in the vicinity of Lake End Park, in partnership with KQKI and Cliff Hillebran, who is providing the live sound services for the event.
The celebration culminates at 9:00 pm with the annual patriotic fireworks display over Lake Palourde. KQKI 95.3 FM is once again the exclusive radio station that will air the patriotic soundtrack that will be synchronized to the fireworks. KQKI will also broadcast live from the 4th of July Lake Jam, beginning at 7:00 pm and until the conclusion of the fireworks display.
