Some residents of Morgan City have reported receiving fraudulent phone calls from individuals impersonating city officials. These scammers falsely inform residents they have been overcharged for their utilities and request checking account details to process a refund.
The municipal authorities have confirmed that these communications are not authorized by the City of Morgan City. Citizens who have received such calls or have any related concerns are urged to immediately contact the City at 985-385-1770.
