$51.7 Million US 90 Preservation Project Kicks Off in St. Mary Parish

ST. MARY PARISH, LA – According to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), a significant preservation project on U.S. 90 in St.Mary Parish is set to commence on Monday, December 11th. The project, valued at $51.7 million, will stretch from west of the La. 318 interchange to east of the La. 83 interchange.

KEY PROJECT DETAILS:

The scope of work includes:

  • Milling, pavement patching, and asphalt concrete overlay for U.S. 90 mainline and frontage roads
  • Bonded concrete overlay, temporary concrete barriers, median crossover diversion roads, and bridge repairs for U.S. 90 mainline
  • Base construction, bridge repairs, asphalt overlay, bonded concrete overlay, and concrete pavement for on/off ramps and related tasks

The project’s work schedule is expected to cover weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the possibility of operating day and night throughout the entire week if weather permits.

Completion is anticipated in April 2025.
