St. Mary Parish Schools announced the appointment of new assistant principals at Morgan City High School and Morgan City Junior High School following a thorough interview process.

Mr. Gary Aucoin has been named the Assistant Principal of Morgan City Junior High School. With a career in education starting in 1987, Aucoin has extensive experience in St. Mary Parish, Lafourche, Terrebonne, and Franklin Parish as a coach, athletic director, teacher, and in-school suspension educator. He earned his Master’s in Educational Leadership from Louisiana College in 2019. Aucoin is excited to support students with his expertise and return to St. Mary Parish.

Mr. Larry Duane Hartman will serve as the Assistant Principal of Morgan City High School. A life-long resident of Morgan City, Hartman holds a teaching degree from Nicholls State University. In addition to his Master’s in Administration and Supervision earned in 2008, Hartman also possesses certifications in ESL and Technology Facilitation. Eager to maintain Tiger Excellence, Hartman looks forward to his new role within the school community.
