Starting Monday, July 10, LA 70 commuters can expect daily alternating lane closures between US 90 and Marguerite Street in Morgan City. These closures will last until Thursday, July 20, 2023, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., weather permitting. The reason behind these closures is to perform much-needed roadway resurfacing.
During this period, the road will remain open for regular traffic, with an imposed 11-foot lane restriction for oversized loads traversing the work zone. It is important to note that no detours will be in place during this time.
