The Franklin Police Department responded to 19 complaints over the past weekend and made the following arrests:
Makayla Austin, 24, of Willowood Dr., Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 19, 2023, at 7:51 PM, on a warrant for Third Ward City Court for failure to appear on the charges of leash law and vicious dogs. Austin was booked, processed, and released on a $358.00 bond.
Antonio Torres, 42, of Highway 182, Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 21, 2023, at 1:47 AM, on the charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Torres was booked, processed, and held on a $3,000.00 bond.
Craig Leonard, 51, of Roseville St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 21, 2023, at 9:22 AM, on the charges of aggravated battery and disturbing the peace by language. Leonard was booked, processed, and held on a $7,500.00 bond.
Jeana Arnaud, 53, of Roseville St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 21, 2023, at 11:24 AM, on the charges of aggravated assault and disturbing the peace by language. Arnaud was booked, processed, and released on a $2,500.00 bond.
Nikki Pepper, 33, of Louise St., Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on May 21, 2023, at 6:40 PM, on a warrant for Third Ward City Court for failure to appear on the charges of two headlamps required, expired driver’s license, and no insurance. Pepper was booked, processed, and released on a $398.00 bond.
Tommy Carson, 52, of Martin Luther King Blvd., Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 21, 2023, at 6:56 PM, on a warrant for St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office for driving on roadway laned for traffic, aggravated flight from an officer, hit and run driving, and possession of alcoholic beverage in motor vehicle. Carson was booked, processed, and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
