On Sunday morning, Marine Section deputies were dispatched to a call of a body in the water approximately 5 miles south of Berwick.
The Marine Deputies arrived at the location and recovered the body of an unidentified female.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives have opened an investigation and further information will be released when it becomes available.
