Highway 182 Bridge Briefly Closed After Vehicle Strikes Height Beam

Morgan City Police Chief James F. Blair said that officers responded to the Highway 182/Atchafalaya River bridge on Thursday afternoon in regards to the height beam being struck on the bridge. The bridge was temporarily closed. After inspection of the beam, it was deemed safe and the bridge was reopened.
