The Morgan City Police Department is searching for a Morgan City teen in connection with a Tuesday evening shooting.
Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department responded to the area of Grizzaffi Street on Tuesday evening, November 09, 2021, in regards to a shooting. Officers arrived and located a victim with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an out of area hospital where they are listed in stable, but guarded condition.
Overnight and during the early morning hours of Wednesday, with assistance from the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Berwick Police Department, investigators executed several search warrants in multiple areas. Keith Garner Jr. was then developed as a suspect. Evidence was reportedly uncovered linking Garner Jr. as the suspected shooter in the incident.
Warrants were obtained for Garner Jr.’s arrest. He remains at-large and considered to be armed and dangerous. Anyone with information that can lead to the arrest of Keith Garner Jr. is asked to contact the Morgan City Police Department at 985-380-4605.
