WHAT: For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills as lownas 15 expected. For the Extreme Cold Warning, dangerously coldnwind chills as low as 4 above expected. For the Extreme Cold Watch, dangerously cold temperatures as low as 9 possible.

WHERE: Portions of central, south central, southwest, and westncentral Louisiana and southeast Texas.

WHEN: For the Cold Weather Advisory, from 6 PM Saturday to noon CST Sunday. For the Extreme Cold Warning, from 6 PM Sunday to noon CST Monday. For the Extreme Cold Watch, from Monday afternoo

through Tuesday morning.

IMPACTS: Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected ski

is exposed to these temperatures. An extended period of freezingntemperatures could cause ruptured water pipes.

Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you mustngo outside.nnMake sure outdoor animals have a warm, dry shelter, food, andnunfrozen water.nnTo prevent water pipes from freezing; wrap or drain or allow them tondrip slowly.nnKeep pets indoors as much as possible.nnUse caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, anhat, and gloves.nnMake frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensurenportable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grillsninside.nnIf you do not have heat in your home or lack shelter, you can calln211 for assistance locating appropriate shelter from the cold.
