Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a residence on John Darnell Road on Saturday, June 24th, at around 1:30 a.m., regarding a 5 foot alligator in their home. The alligator entered through the doggy door, and the dog notified the homeowners. The alligator was captured and moved with the help of Wildlife and Fisheries.
